RAJASTHANI CUISINE.

Rajasthan makes its visitors happy from all the sides weather by entertainment or by serving delicious food. The arid nature of the region, the extreme climatic conditions, scarcity of water and vegetation has witnessed involvement of unique cooking styles and food habits of the natives that is noticeably different from other Indian cuisines. The Rajasthanis have molded their culinary styles in such a way that many of their dishes can be shelved for several days and served without heating.


  • Dal-Baati-Churma
It is one of the most popular dish of Rajasthan, Rajasthani food is incomplete 
without Dat-Baati-Churma. It comprises of 3 things spicy Dal, a deep-fried Baati and a mouth-watering and slightly sweetish churma cooked uniquely with different ingredients.  

  • Panchmel ki Sabzi
This is a very popular, delicious, healthy and authentic vegetable dish from Rajasthan. That derives its name from the combination of five ingredients used to prepare it. This extremely luscious and dry vegetable dish is prepared out of five vegetables seasoned with mix spices and gets its tangy flavor from the use of dried mango powder called amchur.

  • Khichdi
When we talk about khichdi a wholesome and healthy meal made out of rice and different pulses. People of Rajasthan have innovative and a different type of nutrition made up of  wheat, jowar and bajra in place of rice. It is served with either curd or raita.

  • Gatte ki sabzi
This is another famous and easy to digest dish. It is a different type of curry made with gram flour balls called 'Gattas'  with the gravy being prepared of buttermilk and different spices

  • Bikaneri Bhujia

This dish is originated from Bikaner. This snakes is very crispy and made of basan with spices. 

  • Pyaaz Kachori


Pyaaz kachori is also popular spicy snack in and around Jodhpur. It is a deep fried puffy pastry stuffed with spicy onion that is usually served with sweet and sour imli (tamarind) ki chutney.

Sweet Dishes

  • Balushahi


It is a crunchy deep-fried sweet dish made of rounded doughs that are soaked in sugar syrup. The basic ingredients are maida (refined flour), ghee, sugar and milk among others.

  • Ghevar

This sweet dish round in shape and made of flour, ghee, paneer and sugar syrup. Made in every Rajasthani occasion.

  • Imarti


Imarti is another famouse sweet dish. It is made of urad flour batter that is deep-fried in the shape of circular flower and then dipped in sugar syrup.
